The local government of Taguig on Wednesday opened its second drive-through test center for COVID-19.
The testing center caters to residents who are vehicle owners and could not avail of the test in hospitals and health centers.
The drive-thru facility is located in the city’s business district, Bonifacio Global City.
Taguig also opened a drive-thru COVID-19 facility at the city’s Lakeshore Hall in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The testing center can carry out the COVID-19 test in five minutes.
Test results are expected to be out between three and five days after testing.
To avail the service the residents must call the hotline 878-93200 or 0966-419-4510 for assessment from the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit. The resident will receive a control number to be presented at the center.
If a person manifest symptom of COVID-19, he/she will be told to go to the isolation area. An ambulance is on standby near the center to transfer the patient to a nearby hospital.
Taguig City government said it has partnered with the Department of Health (DOH), the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), St. Luke’s Medical Center in BGC and the Philippine Red Cross to ensure that testing of samples will be done swiftly.
The facility is part of the city’s Systematic Mass Approach to Responsible Testing (SMART) program for COVID-19. The program also covers barangay-based testing, visit from the CEDSU testing team, tests in private and public hospitals.
