The number of recoveries now stands at 1,043.
The death toll also climbed to 568 after 10 more patients died of COVID-19.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire earlier said it is quite risky for the health department to declare that the curve has flattened.
She also bared that the agency hired additional laboratory encoders to address issues on testing backlogs.
The DOH admitted that it will miss its target to reach 8,000 to 10,000 tests daily by the end of the month.
