The Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday 206 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, lifting the total of confirmed cases to 4,076.
This is the first time that the country has surged past the 4,000-mark in terms of confirmed cases.
The death toll rose to 203 after the DOH recorded 21 new deaths.
Meanwhile, 28 new recoveries were reported raising the total of recoveries to 124 as of 4 pm today, April 9.
