PH Embassy in UAE warns Filipinos against rumors on social media about repatriation efforts

The Philippine Embassy in the UAE has issued a warning for Filipinos to be more vigilant against unscrupulous individuals, groups, and/or travel agencies spreading rumours on social media that they can help Filipinos be repatriated back to the Philippines.
It clarified that the ongoing repatriation efforts from the Philippines to the UAE are for seafarers who were stranded and were secured flight tickets that were paid for by their employers through limited chartered flights that were arranged and approved by UAE authorities.

The embassy also urged Filipinos to report those unscrupulous individuals with their details so they can help to file official reports to the UAE authorities to be sanctioned and given appropriate penalties.
