The Dubai Economy announced today the extension of the closure decisions for commercial activities until April 18, which falls on the end of the National Disinfection Programme.
In a tweet, it said that this step comes in line with preventive measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“In line with the preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19, Dubai Economy extends the circular on the closure of commercial activities until the end of the National Disinfection Programme on the 18th of April 2020. The exempted sectors will operate as usual.”
This means that the all commercial centers, shopping malls, and open markets will remain close until April 18.
To recall, the Dubai Economic Department decided to close commercial activities in the emirate from March 25 to April 8.
The decision included all shops in open markets except bakeries, auto repair workshops, workshops, clothes launderers and technical and electrical service providers for buildings.
