PACC did not request to investigate VP Robredo, says commissioner

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) clarified that it did not request the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to probe Vice President Leni Robredo, Commissioner Greco Belgica clarified.
The pronouncement come after fellow PACC Commissioner Atty. Manuelito Luna earlier said the commission asked the NBI to investigate Robredo’s action that compete or calculated to undermine the national government during the coronavirus pandemic.

“PACC is not asking anyone to investigate VP Leni Robredo. On the other hand, we are thankful to everyone who are helping the front liners and the needy including the VP,” Belgica said.
According to Belgica, Commissioner Luna’s statement earlier is a personal opinion and does not reflect the sentiments of the PACC.
Belgica stressed that this is not the right me for politicking and the government must focus on coronavirus crisis.

“This is not the time for politicking. We are not concerned with any personality. Our main concern is to make sure all the needy Filipinos get all the help they need the President promised,” he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Robredo’s camp slammed the pronouncement and called it “ridiculous, so inappropriate, so out of touch.”
