Sharjah Police activate radars, catch 305 motorists during disinfection drive

Sharjah Police caught 305 motorists driving without permission during the national disinfection program.
The General Command of Sharjah Police activated radars devices across entry and exit points in the emirate to flash on erring drivers who do not adhere to stay-at-home orders during the sterilization drive from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Major General Saif Ziril Al Shamsi, Commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, said the radars are activated every eight in the evening to monitor the movement of motorists.
Movements of residents outside their homes were restricted to essential activities only. Residents are urged to apply for move permits on the Sharjah Police’s website www.shjpolice.gov.ae
Individuals who will caught moving out without permits will face legal repercussions.

Sharjah Police has called on the public to follow the #StayHome initiative to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
 Around 120 patrols were deployed across areas of the emirate, according to Sharjah Police.
