Filipino among new confirmed COVID-19 cases in UAE

A Filipino is among the 53 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the UAE, according to the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Tuesday.
No other details were given about the Filipino patient.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 664.
According to the Ministry, as reported by WAM, the identified cases were determined upon examining individuals who were in contact with previously confirmed cases.
Many of them did not adhere to social distancing rules, MoHAP said, while others came from abroad.
Individual case belongs to the following nationalities: Algeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Iran, Kuwait, Switzerland, Turkey, the Philippines, Italy, France, and the United States.
Two individuals each from Egypt and Nepal, three individuals from the UK, four from the UAE, and 31 from India also contracted COVID-19.
The MoHAP added that all the individuals are in a stable condition.
MoHAP advised members of the general public to adhere to the preventative health and personal hygiene measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
