Majority of establishments in the UAE have been ordered to temporarily close down in order to temper the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority limited the number of establishments which will remain operational. People encouraged to stay at home, with only essential services remaining open. Failing to cooperate with the government in this crucial stage of nationwide sterilization can be penalized with corresponding fines.
All companies are also being encouraged to implement a work from home scheme which will last until April 8.
Essential sectors should maintain their operations but they will have to take necessary precautionary measures.
Open establishments and businesses are as follows:

Pharmaceutical sector
Food retail outlets (bakeries, groceries, supermarkets, etc)
Restaurants (only deliveries and take outs)
Industrial and manufacturing
Construction, contracting and building materials
Security services
Logistics and delivery services
Supply chain
Workshops
Cleaning services
Cash transport
Banking sector
Laundries
Technical and electrical services providers
List of closed establishments:
Fish, meat, and vegetable markets (except wholesalers supplying to supermarkets)
Shisha cafes
Gyms and fitness centers
Theme parks
Amusement centers and electronic games (e-Games) outlets
Cinemas
Men’s and women’s salons
Massage parlors and spas
