LOOK: Residents in congested areas in Dubai gets tested for COVID-19

Forty healthcare professionals from a hospital in Dubai were deployed to conduct a medical check-up in the emirate’s busy Naif Road neighborhood.
 
Photos of the testing were shared on Aster DM Healthcare’s Twitter on Sunday. 
 
This is in a bid to control the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Dubai Police.

Dr. Jobilal Vavachan, CEO of Aster Clinics and Hospitals who headed the entire operation on the site, stated that they began in five apartment complexes in the area on Friday morning and so far screened over 400 residents from these buildings as per his interview with Gulf News.
 
The Dubai Police and health care officials are assisting them.

He added that the residents were very happy to undergo these screening tests. Some are even requesting to undergo quarantine after taking the tests. 
 
During the tests, standby ambulances were at bay for those who have symptoms to be brought to isolation wards until their results are released.
