TANONG: Since magsasara ang mga shopping malls, paano ang mga grocery stores – magsasara din ba sila? Kung magsasara sila, kailangan ba naming mag-imbak ng pagkain?

SAGOT: Tama po na ipinagutos ng gobyerno ang pagsasara ng mga shopping malls at ng mga commercial establishments pansamantala hanggang April 9, pero hindi po ibig sabihin na mawawalan na po tayo ng lugar na mapapagbilhan ng ating mga pangangailangan.

Sa katunayan, naglabas na ng anunsyo ang gobyerno na maaaring manatiling bukas ang mga pamilihan ng 24 oras, at 7 araw sa isang linggo. Ibig sabihin nito ay maaaari na kayong makapamili ng inyong mga pangangailangan sa anumang oras na inyong naisin.

Ang mga lugar na maaaring maging bukas 24/7 ay ang mga sumusunod:

– Pharmacy
– Grocery
– Coop
– Supermarket

Ngunit may ilang importanteng paaalala lamang ang gobyerno ukol dito:

– Una, kailangang hindi hihigit ng 30% sa maximum capacity ang isang pamilihan.

– Pangalawa, kailangan may distansya ang bawat mamimili nang may 2 metro sa isa’t isa.

– Bukod dito ay may ilang pamilihan, tulad ng Carrefour, na nagbabawal na sa pagpapapasok ng mga bata at naglilimita na lang sa isang tao kada pamilya para makapasok at makapamili.

Dahil mananatili namang bukas ang lahat ng mga pamilihan, hindi kailangang mag-imbak ng pagkain at pangangailangan dahil sinigurado mismo ni His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, na mayroong higit sa sapat na supply ang buong UAE ng pagkain at gamot para sa lahat ng mamamayan.

Ang lahat ng mga panuntunang ito ay para din naman sa kapakanan ng mga mamamayan. Kaya’t mabuting sundin natin ang mga direktiba ng gobyerno para sabay-sabay nating malabanan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease o COVID-19.
