Coronavirus Selfie: 6 Pakistani officials suspended after taking selfie with COVID-19 patient

Even officials in Pakistan were not spared from facing sanctions for taking a selfie with their colleague who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
They were revenue officials from the different areas of the district in Sindh province.
The deputy commissioner of Khairpur issued their suspension on Sunday.

According to reports by Dawn news, they identified the positive case of COVID-19 as Irshad Ali Rajpar, who recently returned from Iran.
Pakistan’s officials immediately acted upon reports from social media on the selfie photo.

Sindh province was already placed on a 15-day lockdown.
There are now 803 cases there including 352 from Sindh and their death toll stands at five.
