The first group of medical assistance teams has left Hubei Province on Tuesday as the situation in the virus-hit province eased dramatically.
According to China Global Television Network (CGTN), there were 41 teams with 3,675 people who attended a simple send-off ceremony in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak.
These teams were able to assist the 14 temporary hospitals and seven designated hospitals there.
In a separate report on China Daily, they shared a video of hospital staff removing their masks ceremoniously as China’s last emergency hospital, built to handle the crisis, was closed.
The same report said that the 16 public facilities converted into temporary hospitals are now closed.
With the closure, Covid-19 patients are being transferred to Leishenshan Hospital and other specialized hospitals.
