A cab driver was found guilty of killing his roommate over a cleaning dispute in Al Muraqqabat.
The decision handed down by the Dubai Court of First Instance against the 41-year-old Pakistani sentenced him to 10 years in jail and deportation after completing it.

According to a report by Khaleej Times, the accused had a heated argument about cleaning at their shared room with his roommate.
A 33-year-old Pakistani agricultural engineer, who woke up to the screams of the victim on the day of the incident, told the court that he tried to grab the accused but could not stop him from stabbing the man.

The victim died of multiple stab wounds and died of internal bleeding.
Asked why he did it, the accused just said: “It just happened”.
He has 15 days to appeal the court’s ruling.
