Stephen Curry diagnosed with seasonal flu, not COVID-19

Golden State Warriors and basketball superstar Stephen Curry have been diagnosed with influenza A.
His team announced in a post on Sunday morning.

According to the statement posted on their official Facebook page, their team physician Dr. Robert Nied said Curry tested positive of the said virus.

Dr. Nied clarified that what the basketball star contracted was a seasonal flu and not the deadly coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

“We have identified his probable source contact who is not part of the basketball operations. He has no specific risks for COVID-19,” he said.

Right now, the team physician said Curry has begun treatment. The team has also instituted its team protocol for influenza exposure.
