Chinese coronavirus carrier arrested in Singapore for lying during contact tracing

The Singaporean authorities have arrested a Chinese national who tested positive for the coronavirus disease for providing false information on his location in the city-state.
The man is facing six months in imprisonment according to a Reuters report.
Singapore health officials are using police investigators and security cameras in tracking suspected coronavirus patients.

91 confirmed cases have been recorded in Singapore so far.
The suspect and his wife from Wuhan City, the epicenter of the virus outbreak in China have deceived authorities during the contact tracing.
The husband recovered from the virus but the wife was quarantined.
The health ministry said that the arrest was in view of the potentially serious repercussions of the false information…and the risk they could have posed to public health”.
