Arab man jailed for posing as cop to steal in Ajman

Ajman Court sentenced a 30-year-old Arab man to six years of imprisonment for impersonating a police officer to steal valuables inside a woman’s house.
The complainant recounted how the Arab man and his companion managed to dupe them and steal their valuables, according to report by Khaleej Times.
The woman said during a court hearing that she along with her daughter were about to enter their house when they were stopped by two men around 4:30 a.m.
The two men presented themselves as CID officers and inquired for their Emirates IDs.
The two then entered the house in the guise of investigating it and stole their cash, jewelry and mobile phones.
Police launched a manhunt upon receiving a call from the victims saying their valuables were missing.
They were able to arrest one of the suspects while the other remains at large.
