Coronavirus death toll reaches 1775, infected cases tops 70,000

China’s health authorities reported 105 fatalities from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic bringing the global death toll to 1775.
Hubei Province recorded 100 fatalities and 1,933 new cases in the past 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases in the province climbed to 58,182, with 6,639 recovered and 1,696 dead.
Selling of fever and cough medicines were prohibited in ten cities in Hubei as people who have symptoms are told to go to hospitals as soon as possible, Global Times reported.
There are 71,326 reported cases of COVID-19 globally.
The number of infected cases continues to decline after a spike of reported cases last February 14.
However, World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that the path of COVID-19 epidemic is impossible to predict.
