16 more Filipinos onboard Diamond Princess test positive for COVID-19, says DFA

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced 16 more Filipinos onboard quarantined cruise ship in Japan tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The number of infected Filipinos on board the ship has climbed to 27, reported Rappler.
Japanese Health Ministry reported 70 new cases on Sunday bringing the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 onboard the ship to 355.
The Philippine Embassy in Japan said its in close coordination with Japanese Health Ministry, World Health Organization as well as Princess Cruises to ensure the well-being of 538 Filipinos onboard Diamond Princess cruise and to prepare their repatriation.
Meanwhile, the Japanese Health Ministry assured that all of 3711 passengers and crew of cruise ship will be tested before the quarantine period ends.
Diamond Princess was placed on quarantine on February 5 after one of its former passengers test positive for COVID-19.
