Filipino seafarer found dead in engine room

A 54-year-old Filipino seafarer aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas ship was found dead in an engine room, according to a report on American news channel WNBC.
Authorities clarified that the Filipino crew member did not die because of the novel coronavirus. His remains was frozen and was kept inside a refrigerator until it was brought to Newark for an autopsy.

The Royal Caribbean told WNBC that they are handling his death with so much caution and they will be notified immediately for any updates.
The company said that they are cooperating fully with the investigation. The authorities, meanwhile, said there is nothing suspicious about his death.
