UAE issues new guidelines on preventing novel coronavirus spread

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has released a new set of guidelines ordering healthcare providers not to allow any person suspected of having the coronavirus to leave their premises.
In a report on the Arabic daily, Al Ittihad, hospitals both private and public are ordered to make sure that suspected cases must stay in their premises.
Undersecretary for Health Centres and Clinics at MoHAP and Chairman of the National Committee for the Implementation of the Provisions of International Health Regulations and Prevention of Pandemics Hussein Al Rand told the newspaper that all hospitals must follow all protocols in handling people with suspected cases of the new coronavirus.
MoHAP reminds the public to take extra caution in meeting with people from China, avoid direct contact as much as possible, and practice good hygiene.
