Six passengers who had close contact with nCoV-positive cases show symptoms of virus

Six passengers who took the same flight with two Chinese nationals who tested positive for novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV ARD) showed signs and symptoms of respiratory disease, according to Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).
Three passengers from Cebu-Dumaguete flight, which had a total of 61 people on board, showed symptoms.
The other three came from the Dumaguete-Manila flight, which had a total of 132 passengers.

CIDG Deputy Director for Administration Col. Rhoderick Armamento said the PNP unit has contacted a total of 58 co-passengers of the Chinese couple on the two flights they have boarded.
Armamento said that the passengers were already placed under quarantine in different hospitals.

“All passengers who have been contacted by the CIDG were advised to avoid unnecessary contact with people and stay at home as much as possible,” Armamento said in a press briefing.
