China will send two planes to Malaysia and Thailand to bring stranded residents of Hubei province residents back to Wuhan City, the ground zero of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Xiamen Airlines flights will pick up the Chinese nationals from Kota Kinabalu and Bangkok, according to China’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC).

“The charter flights adopt the principle of voluntary ticket purchase,” the CAAC said
Some 117 Chinese nationals from Hubei province are currently stranded in Bangkok, and 100 more in Kota Kinabalu are “willing to go back” to Wuhan, CAAC added.

Wuhan was locked down after being identified as the epicenter of the outbreak. There about 11 million residents living in Wuhan.
