The SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City on Monday paid tribute to the late basketball icon Kobe Bryant by lighting its Globamaze into purple and gold.
The famous giant globe featured the colors of Los Angeles Lakers, the team where Bryant spent his 20-year career.

Filipinos were once again reminded of their admiration and love for the late basketball legend who died at 41 years of age as the LED display also featured the number 24 apart from the team’s iconic colors.

Several malls in Taguig and Cebu also lit up in purple and gold last night to honor the late basketball superstar.
Kobe, together with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed in a tragic crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday.
