Wuhan coronavirus reaches India-Nepal border

The dreaded Wuhan coronavirus has reached Nepal and authorities are now intensifying the screening of people in the India-Nepal border.
The Union Health Ministry said they will make arrangements on how the screening will be done on the Nepal border, but stressed that the required measures will be effective immediately.

“Arrangements are being made for screening people coming to India through Nepal border adjoining Uttarakhand. Apart from the screening, the Health Ministry will immediately provide all possible assistance to the state,” health officials said as per a report from Khaleej Times.
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has also informed leaders of the states to closely monitor the situation.

Vardhan held a high-level meeting in Delhi regarding the coronavirus threat on Saturday.
“The Union Health Ministry has decided to form seven separate teams of experts to deal with Novel Coronavirus. These teams will take stock of arrangements to deal with the virus at the Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kochi airports,” Harsh Vardhan said.
No Indian national has been tested positive for the virus as of press time. However, 11 individuals are currently under supervision for being labeled as suspected cases.
