Police arrested three security guards for stealing relief goods intended for displaced residents affected by the eruption of Taal volcano on Tuesday morning.
The suspects were identified as Junel Roda Romano, 21; Johnson Rey Rolio Manimtim, 29; at Junito Pacatang Mañaba, 32.
The incident occurred around nine in the morning in Batangas Provincial Sports Complex, Barangay Sta. Rita, Batangas City.
According to the investigation conducted by Batangas Police, the suspects stole 127 instant noodles, 74 cans of sardines, 19 cup noodles, 12 plastics of rice, and 15 pieces of clothing.
According to GMA News, the authorities said that the stolen items cost Php 6,828.
The suspects will face charges of qualified theft.
