UAE WhatsApp users experience issues on sending media files

UAE residents have reported that they have been experiencing some issues with WhatsApp as of early afternoon today, January 19.

This was confirmed by web service interruption checker, www.downdetector.ae that has received a peak of 1019 reports as of 4:19 pm today about people having problems sending media files like photos, videos, and voice recordings.

The problems were also felt around the globe including areas such as the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Malaysia, and more.

Facebook, the company behind WhatsApp, has yet to issue any official statements as of press time.
