Apple to offer free replacement of faulty iPhone XS battery cases

Tech giant Apple launched a battery replacement program for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR which were manufactured between January to October 2019.
Apple implemented the scheme after discovering that some units were not working properly.
The company identified issues including failure to charge even when plugged into a power source that might persist while using the affected iPhone units.
The tech giant advised its customers to take their faulty units to the authorized service providers or Apple stores to check if their unit is eligible for the program.
Meanwhile, Apple clarified that it is not a safety issue, and that they will replace the units for free.
Gadgets 360 reported the scheme covers the defected cases for two years following their original sale.
The program will not extend the warranty of the Smart Battery Case, and the repair or replacement is limited to the country or region of purchase.
