ToTok co-founder denies spying allegations

ToTok co-founder assures the public that the app is not a spying tool.  

Giacomo Ziani, ToTok co-founder, stated that the app was not designed to spy on the people as it met all the regulatory requirements in the UAE, as per an interview with Khaleej Times.

“We follow the highest security standards in the market. All data is strongly encrypted with AES256 and the transmission channel is well protected by RSA2048 and AES256,” he said when asked about how secured the app was.

The ToTok co-founder was saddened by the false accusations which were thrown to the company for they were baseless. 

He firmly denied that the app was not used as a spying tool as he clarified that the company prioritized the security of its users. 

“User privacy and data security have always been our top priority. Our app and the treatment of personal data are fully compliant with all local and international regulations. After all, Apple and Google approved and published our app for months now,” Ziani furthered.

Ziani told that there was no end to security enhancement, and they were always working to improve more user features.

ToTok is a new video call and messaging app that was accused by a foreign newspaper as it is allegedly being used as a surveillance tool to gather information from its users.
