A Dubai criminal court sentenced a man from another Gulf country to 7 years in prison after he was convicted of murdering his friend.
The defendant confessed to having stabbed his friend with a knife, but claimed he was defending himself after the other lunged at him with a knife.
A friend of the killer said the two had a fight after the defendant got mad when the victim told the killer’s elder brother that he saw his younger brother driving his car.
Newspapers said the victim was visiting the two brothers at home when the argument started and snowballed into a bloody fight.
The court found the defendant guilty of manslaughter and sentenced him to 7 years in jail; they said.
