Starting January 1, 2020, customers will no longer pay more than their month’s rental charges should they prematurely cancel a contract with their service provider.
This was the announcement of UAE’s telecommunications regulator (TRA) on Tuesday.
In a tweet on their official account, they said that these include existing and new contracts.
“As of 1 January 2020, the customers won’t have to pay for more than a month’s rental charges when you prematurely exit the contract the service providers,” the TRA tweeted.
