UAE residents living near the Pearl Jumeirah Beach in Dubai got an early surprise this morning, December 16, as hundreds of birds flocked towards the area.
A video submitted to The Filipino Times by Agnes Magumcia showed the birds flying about the shores of the Pearl Jumeirah Beach near the Drydocks.
This is the second sighting within the UAE this December after more than 4,000 flamingos migrated towards the Arabian Gulf.
Experts state that around three million birds call the UAE home during the annual migration period as they pass through four aerial flight corridors spanning the country’s 83,600 sq. km. that forms part of the Palaearctic-Asian Flyway.
