An 18-month-old Syrian boy in Dibba Fujairah died after he was knocked down by a car whose driver did not notice the child was playing behind the vehicle.
The incident took place Saturday morning when the car owner got into his vehicle and moved it back without noticing the boy was standing behind the car.
The boy was seriously injured in the accident and was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later, Al Bayan daily said.
