Giant IKEA store in Dubai to open this December

Swedish Furniture giant IKEA will open its second store in Dubai on December 18, 2019.

The new superstore will have an area of 35,000 square meters including a 5,000 square meters training area for IKEA employees.

The IKEA in Dubai South will house 120 shops, 40 cafes and restaurants as well as a 500-seat food court and a kids’ play centre.

According to IKEA’s website, the new store vows to ’embrace digital integration to allow for a more intuitive shopping experience for its customers’.

The mall is strategically located in Al-Futtaim’s Festival Plaza in Dubai South, attracting nearby communities such as Jebel Ali, Dubai Marina, Barsha, Sufouh, Sports city, and other communities in Dubai South.

To bring more convenience to its customers, IKEA will have a self-service kiosk in the restaurant driveway or a self-ordering terminal at a table to access the restaurant menu and order a meal.
