There will now be a mobile application that will be made available by the end of this year for Filipinos living in and visiting Spain.
According to a report by GMA’s Balitanghali, the application, dubbed as “eFILIPINAS” will be the first of its kind in Philippine foreign service.
Philippine Ambassador to Spain Phillippe Lhuillier described it as a “pocket embassy” where one can access all the rules, assistance to nationals, ATM, what to do and what you need on this mobile app.
Among the features of this future application are consular services, submission of documents, contact and emergency information of the Philippine embassy and Spanish government, and even an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) corner where Filipinos may speak directly to officials of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
Lhuillier said they are also planning to add a feature like a group chat, financial service capabilities like money transfers and foreign exchange rates, e-commerce, and e-banking.
