The viral 11-year-old elementary student who wore makeshift “Nikes” during a school meet in Iloilo has earned the attention of Titan co-founder Roger Cariaso.
The Alaska Aces head coach launched a social media hunt to connect with Rhea Bullos.
Cariaso asked for help to connect with the athlete.
A netizen replied to Cariaso, saying that he was directly in touch with Rhea.
In his next tweet, Cariaso thanked everyone who helped her contact Rhea and her adviser.
“Thanks for the post. I was able to speak to Rhea and her adviser this morning. Thanks to those who messaged me also with her contact number,” he said.
Rhea won three golds in the 400-meter dash, the 800-meter run and the 1500-meter run at the Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet.
She managed to dominate the event with her makeshift shoes made of plaster bandage.
