There’s now a platform where residents may report suspicious financial and violations across government entities.
According to a report by Emirates News Agency (WAM), the digital ‘Violation Reporting Platform’ was launched in Abu Dhabi on Monday by the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) during the International Anti-Corruption Day.
Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, ADAA chairman, said this is an additional tool that reiterates the Abu Dhabi Government’s commitment to enhance transparency, accountability, and integrity in the use of government resources to serve the emirate.
THE PROCESS
Al Suwaidi said the entities will receive the cases reported and forward it to a dedicated team or a government entity who would examine these cases and assess their relevance.
There will be teams that will assess internal procedures and controls to identify the gaps, if any, and recommend the controls to prevent future recurrences.
This new platform aims to establish investor confidence in its business environment.
