Police have opened an investigation to determine whether the baby who fell off a building in Sharjah was a victim of her family’s carelessness.
The 14-month-old girl died after falling from a high floor in a building in Sharjah on Monday.
Authorities said they will investigate the possible reasons surrounding the baby’s death, a newspaper said.
The baby died instantly after landing on the pavement in front of the high-rise building and was taken to Al-Qassimi Hospital for forensic examination, the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum said.
The incident took place around 1:40 p.m.
