PNR’s new train arrives from Indonesia

Regular commuters of Philippine National Railways (PNR) may soon experience convenience as new trains imported from Indonesia finally arrived.

The new Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) of PNR has arrived and is now unloaded at South Harbor in Manila.

The new DMU trains will serve PNR Metro Commuter lines such as Tutuban-Alabang, Malabon-Tutuban and Malabon-FTI.

This shipment is the first delivery of trains purchased by the 127-year-old railway, seven new train sets will arrive in 2020.

Last year, PNR signed a deal with PT INKA, an Indonesian government-controlled firm to purchase new train sets.
