In a gruesome murder case on December 5 in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental, a man decapitated a woman for speaking English before eating her brain with rice, according to local reports.
The primary suspect identified as Lloyd Bagtong, 21, was apprehended by police.
He is believed to be suffering from a mental condition.
Bagtong, who reportedly admitted to the killing, narrated that he saw the woman near the cemetery.
He hit her head using a metal object before committing the grisly murder using a ‘sanggot’, a local grass cutting tool. He brought the severed head in his home and ate her brain with rice, police said.
He was placed under police custody.
