Typhoon Tisoy downs powerlines in parts of PH

A number of areas in the Bicol and Visayas region were left without power due to the rampage of Typhoon ‘Tisoy’ (international name: Kammuri).

Due to the heavy rainfall and floods, power lines were cut and electric posts were uprooted. 

Here are areas with power interruption:
·       Sorsogon-Bulan 69kV Line;
·        Palanas-Cara-Catarman-Allen-Lao-ang 69kV Line;
·        Nasaug-San Isidro 69kV Line;
·        Paranas-Taft-Borongan-Quinapondan 69kV Line;
·        Calbayog-Palanas-Cara 69-kV Line; and
·        Ormoc-San Isidro 69-kV Line

According to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the Naga-Lagonoy 69kV line was finally restored to power.

Typhoon Tisoy currently holds a maximum sustained wind of 155 km/h up to 175 km/h and gustiness of 235 km/h from 240 km/h.
