China has made a special offer to President Rodrigo Duterte and this time it involves a cellphone.
Duterte revealed China’s offer during his interview with GMA News. He said that China offered him to have a mobile phone that can’t be hacked but he declined.
He also addressed the concerns that China can possibly shut down the country’s power supply over its share in the country’s National Grid Corporation.
“I will ask China now. I’d like to address myself, respectfully to President Xi, what could be the reason because I do not believe that they will do. But if there is, what could be the reason for you to cut?” Duterte said.
The President also claimed that China might be “listening to us” through satellites.
“Right now they are listening to us, satellites, without using the grid, the spies, they know, I know because I have talked to him,” Duterte said.
