An Emirati man was killed and seven others were injured after their vehicle fell off from a bridge, Abu Dhabi Police reported.
The police said the victims’ vehicle crashed with another car due to sudden change of lanes.
“Two vehicles collided with one another due to sudden diversion. This caused the vehicle to fall off the shoulder of the bridge and landed on the ground,” Abu Dhabi Police said.
Authorities said that the Emirati was declared dead on the spot. The seven others who were injured were rushed to Al Mafraq and Al Rahba hospitals.
Patrols and ambulances were deployed immediately to the site of accident.
“Police patrols and ambulances rushed to the scene and took care of the injured. They were provided with immediate medical care before they were taken to hospitals.”
Hot on the heels of the accident, authorities advised motorists to strictly follow traffic rules and maintan a safe distance between vehicles to prevent accidents from happening.
