Two cleaners saved after strong winds knocked off their platform

Two cleaners were brought to safety by two UAE expats after strong winds knocked off their platform on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by the Ajman Civil Defence, the two were cleaning windows outside a tower on the Ajman Corniche when strong winds struck, causing the dangling platform to swing violently.

Lt. Col. Raeed Obaid Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Centers of Ajman Civil Defence, said they received the report at 9a.m.

Luckily, two UAE expats, a Moroccan and Greek women, saw them and quickly reached out from the window.

They were able to stabilized the platform by holding each rope with their hands. The sustained minor injuries but were treated immediately.
