A large crowd gathered this afternoon to take part in offering funeral prayers on the for the late H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This was done at the Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed The First Mosque in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and Sheikhs led the large crowd in their funeral prayers, says a report from the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Sultan bin Zayed passed away on Monday and will be laid to rest today.
He is the brother of President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Flags across the UAE were flown at half-mast as the nation mourns for his death. Since Monday, the UAE had declared a three-day mourning period.
