A court in Ajman has sentenced an African man and his girlfriend to three months in prison and ordered their deportation after they were found guilty of having an illicit relationship.
The 29-year-old African café waitress was also convicted of having an illegal abortion three months after she got pregnant from her boyfriend, a baker.
Police arrested the couple after the woman was brought to hospital due to spotting.
Doctors told police the woman was pregnant in her 3rd month and that she was bleeding because she had taken abortion pills.
