A 15-year-old schoolgirl was stabbed in a brawl and died after going to bed and not telling her parents.
Elizabeth Kindsfater was attacked after she reportedly insulted a male classmate in the city of Yekaterinburg in the south-western Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast.
Three groups of pals began fighting and one boy stabbed the young girl in the chest, according to local media.
Elizabeth managed to make it home by herself despite the stab wound. She then reportedly put herself straight to bed without telling her parents about the injury.
Her condition worsened, and she was taken to the hospital where doctors battled but failed to save her life.
The police have since arrested a 16-year-old boy, suspected of using a sharp blade to stab the victim.
A police spokesman said: “For now, we have reason to believe that the schoolgirl was killed because of animosity between the victim and the suspect after she insulted him.”
The investigation continues.
