A 46-year-old GCC national is facing charges in court for allegedly stealing a vehicle.
The man stood trial at the Fujairah Misdemeanor Court and denied the allegation, says a report from Khaleej Times.
He told the court that he ran away from a gang of thieves who chased him and had the intention of harming him.
The man said he used the car to get away from them.
It was the vehicle owner who lodged the complaint with the Fujairah Police.
Based on police records, the car was found parked at an isolated place.
After an intensive search and investigation, he was arrested.
