Recently appointed PAL Holdings president Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr. reportedly collapsed and was rushed to Cardinal Santos Medical Center where he is now in stable condition.
In a statement by his family released to the media, Tan was playing basketball on Saturday morning at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City when he collapsed.
He was inside the court during the finals match between PAL and Exile when it happened.
The statement said he is on stable condition as of 8 a.m. on Sunday and will undergo a few more diagnostic tests.
Tan was recently designated to head the parent firm of Philippine Airlines last August. He replaced Gilbert Santa Maria.
