An Arab woman is on trial in Fujairah on charges of sending offending texts to another Arab woman, a charge she denied in court.
When the judge asked the woman if she sent those messages, she replied that she was falsely accused.
But the judge told her that she admitted to the prosecutor before trial that she sent the texts.
“She denied that she made such a confession…she asked the judge to adjourn hearings so she can appoint a lawyer to defend her in court,” the Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum said.
